These all-purpose Japanese clay pots are a traditional type of ceramic wares from the historic Banko region in Mie, Japan. Their porous thick walls heat up slowly and evenly then retain it effectively for a long time. Finished with a special glaze, heat also penetrates to the core of each ingredient, making dishes more flavorful.
