Unlike printers, 3D printers weren’t so available and affordable like they are now. With its bulky size, 3D printers weren’t the most compact or aesthetic products either. Introducing the Robo C2 and Robo R2 (C2 and R2 for short respectively), these smart 3D printers redefine its type in functionality and appearance. Creator Robo partnered with Outerspace Design to ensure that the compact C2 and high-performance R2 were highly functional while being visually appealing as well. Both 3D printers have a modern look to it, letting it adapt to any room theme at home or office. Outerspace Design is a small business group that combines engineering, strategy, and creativity to produce multi-million brands and products. C2 and R2 uses Autodesk Fusion 360, which is their own design software. However, the 3D printers are compatible with third party software like MatterControl, Simplify3D, Cura, and Slic3r, just to name a few. Powered by a smartphone app that’s self-titled, you can easily and quickly connect, print, control, and monitor the Robo printers. This means that C2 and R2 need Wi-Fi to operate. If no Wi-Fi is available, the 3D printers can emit its own hotspot that you can connect to and print! The smartphone app can manage multiple prints and printers at once and in-app purchases can be made for filaments, accessories, print kits, and much more. However, the Robo app is currently only available with iOS. The Android version will come soon. Robo C2 and Robo R2 can print with a variety of materials like PLA, metal-infused PLA, flexible materials, and carbon fibre. On the Kickstarter page, it is recommended to use Robo’s materials for its printers, but the 3D printers are an open system to any print filaments as long as it meets with their specifications. Regarding the Robo printers build volume, C2 can print up to 5x5x6 inches, or 150 cubic inches (127x127x152 mm). R2, on the other hand, has a larger build volume of up to 8x8x9 inches, or 640 cubic inches (203x203x254 mm). Don’t worry about the 3D printers heating up from the printing, C2 and R2 have a built-in heated platform that can print up to a temperature of 290 degrees. With more accurate 3D printing, Robo C2 and Robo R2 are quick and easy 3D printers that provide a seamless user experience regardless of your age or skill level.
