Buttons were invented in 1300s, and for centuries the design has not changed much, but it may be time to rethink “the button”.
Perhaps inspired by people running wires under their shirt, Shapeways user OliveBird designed Buttons 2.0 to make the button more relevant in today’s world of personal gadgets. The design incorporates a small groove on its side to hold your headphone cord.
In this way, the cord stays closer to your body and is not hanging loose with the potential of getting caught on something.
